Tom Steinbacher established Obey and Protect to fulfill a life long passion to work with dogs. As a graduate of the highly regarded Master Trainer program of the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, he attained the rank of Certified Professional Trainer. His personal rapport with his clients separates him from other trainers. He is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, the German Shepherd Club of America, and the American Dog Owners Association.

Started in 1989, AKC’s Canine Good Citizen is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs.
