Obey and Protect, LLC provides specialized dog training in group or individualized settings. For all group classes, please check out the class openings by viewing our on-line calendar.

BASIC OBEDIENCE

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Group Class:  Our most popular program, this six week group class provides basic obedience training for all of the 10 components of the CGC program including sit, down, stay, come and walking politely on leash. This course is great for dogs that need socialization skills with both humans and other dogs. The CGC test is administered as the sixth session and is included in the cost of the class.  Class size is limited to 10 dogs.


Personalized Individual Obedience Training:  If you prefer one on one training for your dog, Obey and Protect provides personalized in your home training or day long drop off training at their facility in Bahama, NC. 


ADVANCED OBEDIENCE

Advanced Obedience Group Classes:  

For those dogs that have mastered the basic obedience commands and/or passed the AKC CGC test,  this class continues to build on the basic instruction and focuses on working with your dog on the more advanced commands and working with your dog at a distance.  Class size is limited to 10 dogs.


PROBLEM BEHAVIOR

For those other wise well behaved dogs, a problem behavior can become a frustrating experience for dog owners.  It is however very common and is best corrected with a few one on one sessions offered by Obey and Protect in your home or with day long drop off training offered at their facility in Bahama, NC.


THERAPY DOG

Therapy Dog International PREP Class:  

Many dogs and their owners have the temperament necessary to become a therapy dog. Obey and Protect is a certified evaluator forTherapy Dogs International, Inc., a group organized to provide qualified handlers and their therapy dogs for visitations to institutions and facilites where therapy dogs are needed. Registration is available for prep training classes or just participation in the Therapy Dog Evaluation test. Class and test is limited to ten dogs.


AGILITY TRAINING

Introduction to Agility:  

Whether you are interested in exploring the world of agility competition or simply looking to give your dog the confidence 

it needs to be a healthy social pet, this course introduces you to the agility basics. The five week program teaches you and your dog that mastering obstacles can be both a fun and bonding experience. Class size is limited to five dogs.


Obedience/Agility Basics:  

This class combines basic obedience commands and agility obstacle familiarization. By combining the two, your dog learns the critical obedience commands necessary for success in agility training while being introduced to the obstacle basics.
